Tucson Camp Day 6
Today was an optional rest day for those who have been here all week (however most athletes decided to hit the early morning swim). For the rest of the gang it was an easy spin over to Saguro National Park where there is a one lane perfectly paved 8 mile loop through the desert. This would be a great loop for a time trial as it is technical and hilly (as evidenced by a couple of spills and trips off road into the brush). No one was hurt and everyone decided to take another shot at it with a second loop.
Last night felt like a pre race evening as all of the athletes are nervous and getting excited about their first trip to the top of Mt. Lemmon (just over 25 miles of climbing). This ride would definitely be on the list of top 5 rides so I am probably just as excited.
