Christmas 2008

This was our first Christmas in the new house with the new addition (Murphy).
We had a great couple of days. Rach always makes an incredible meal on the 24th. This year it was pork tenderloin wrapped with double smoked bacon and served on garlic potato cakes all with an incredible demi glaze from the Anthony Bourdain cook book. YUMMMM!

Christmas morning we were up early and it didn't take long for Murphy to get into the spirit of opening presents with Rex and Kona. Once presents were opened it was time for a winter wonderland run out at Thetis with the dogs. This gave me a chance to try out the new Garmin that my Aunt had given to us. Very cool.

A few hours later it was time for our Christmas day open house. Lots of wine, cheese, beer, chocolate etc. etc. and of course friends. Rach's parents came down from Port Alberni and Tony made an incredible traditional Christmas dinner that we all enjoyed with special guest; Mr. Ben Cotter. An hour of domino's and cards after dinner and then it was time for the turkey coma to kick in big time.
